Beloved Character Makes a Comeback

After seven years away, Dean Wicks is back in Walford and things haven't been going well. But next week, a beloved character makes her return to the borough – Dean's daughter Jade Green. How will their reunion play out?

Dean's Troubled Past

Actor Matt Di Angelo reprised his role as Dean Wicks, much to the surprise of Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and BBC One viewers. Despite being accused of rape by Linda less than a decade ago, Dean is now in business with soap legend Cindy Beale. However, there's still an emptiness in Dean's life – he wants to mend his broken relationship with his long-lost daughter Jade Green.

Bonding with Jade

In upcoming scenes of the London-based program, Dean finally gets the chance to bond with Jade, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Jade returns to Albert Square and befriends Gina Knight at The Vic. But when Dean tries to comfort Jade about her prognosis, she rejects him. It's not until a chat with Gina about absent parents that Jade gives Dean another chance.

Dean's Past Catches Up

Unfortunately, Dean's past catches up with him once again. This time, Jade is adamant about cutting ties with him. Meanwhile, Linda is saddened to learn that her children Nancy and Lee won't be visiting her. Dean decides to make matters worse by rattling Linda even further. Linda receives a photo from the villain, dressed as Santa Claus, with her son Ollie at the Beale's Eels new grotto. Enraged, Linda confronts Dean.

A Shocking Revelation

Keanu Taylor tells Jade that her father Dean is a sexual predator. Disgusted by this revelation, Jade leaves Walford before Dean arrives at The Vic. Has Dean run out of chances to bond with his daughter?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
