EASTENDERS fans are in awe at Honey Mitchell after she took on Nish and Suki Panesar to free Billy from jail.

The market inspector – who is played by actress Emma Barton in the BBC soap – was desperate to free Billy so he could spend the last few hours with his dying granddaughter Lola Pearce.

Honey worries Billy won’t be able to say goodbye to Lola as he is behind bars

Nish goes head to head with Honey

Honey saw red when Nish failed to withdraw his statement

However her attempts to appeal to the police fell on deaf ears and she was told only Nish Panesar withdrawing his statement would do it.

But as Nish refused to withdraw his statement, Honey saw red and hurled his coffee at him, warning him he was lucky it was cold.

Outside she spotted Suki and told Phil to wait for her, while she dealt with her.

Honey told Suki: “Your husband won’t withdraw his statement about Billy which means he’s going to miss saying goodbye to Lola.

“I suspect you could be more persuasive than you realise because if you don’t get him to change his mind I’m going to tell him about the night I was sat on your sofa thinking that I was just being a caring friend when all along you were just waiting to stick your tongue down my throat.

“I don’t want to use blackmail Suki because I’m not that type of person but sometimes in life you have to reach down deep in the mud and fling it so hard because frankly that’s all you have left. Are we clear?”

Phil was confused as Honey said she’d sorted it telling him she’d taken inspiration from him.

Suki took Honey’s threat and fixed it by manipulating Nish into doing what she wanted – and even putting up with his tears about his own son’s death.

“Nish, just call the station,” she said as she bent him to her will.

With Billy released he had the chance to say his goodbyes to Lola while she could still understand him.

But fans were just in awe at Honey.

One wrote: “Honey has been an absolute star this week, and throughout this entire storyline.”

A second said: “Honey’s really shone as a character this week.”

Another added: “I’m loving this side to Honey. The Mitchell side to her is really coming out now.”
