However, starting from this Friday (September 8), fans will need to prepare for more disruption as ITV will begin airing coverage of the Rugby World Cup 2023.
Friday's Episode Moved to Thursday
Friday's episode of Coronation Street has been moved up to Thursday (September 7). This episode will also air at a later time, from 9pm until 10pm.
Emmerdale Fans Disappointed
What's more, Emmerdale fans will be left disappointed as there will not be an hour-long episode on Thursday as usual.
No Soaps on Friday
To add to the frustration, both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be completely scrapped on Friday evening, as ITV will be airing live coverage of the Rugby World Cup.
Normal Service Resumes on Monday
Fortunately, the soaps will return to their normal schedule on Monday (September 11, 2023). However, the Rugby World Cup will shake things up once again at the end of the week.
Rugby World Cup Matches
Starting from Thursday, September 14, 2023, there will be regular matches aired, beginning with a game between France and Uruguay at 7.15pm.
Friday, September 15, will also feature another game between New Zealand and Namibia in the same time slot.
