Emmerdale fans were left in shock as the identity of Craig Reed's killer was finally unveiled in a surprising twist. The evil businessman was found dead in a field at Home Farm, and this week's episodes centered around the Dingle family, who were brought in for questioning by Lydia, Craig's rape victim.

A Shocking Revelation

Lydia's husband, Sam Dingle, believed he had dealt the fatal blow to his wife's rapist, but it turns out he wasn't the culprit. As the Dingle family members took turns revealing their whereabouts at the time of Craig's death, suspicion initially fell on Cain Dingle, who admitted to tying Craig up with Sam's help.

Sam confessed that he may have killed Craig with his punches, but Cain urged him not to turn himself in. However, it soon became clear that something else had happened to Craig, as Cain acted suspiciously and sought an alibi from his half-brother, Caleb, in a flashback scene.

An Unexpected Turn of Events

During the investigation, Kim Tate and her husband, Will, were also questioned about Craig being found on their land. In a surprising twist, Kim revealed that she had encountered Craig while riding her horse, Ice. When Craig begged for help, Kim callously refused and the situation took a tragic turn.

As Ice approached Craig, he grabbed for the reins and the horse panicked, kicking Craig to the ground. Despite Kim's attempts to revive him, Craig lay motionless and barely breathing. In the final moments of the episode, Cain was seen speaking on the phone and thanking someone for their help.

A Twist in the Tale

In a flashback, Cain arrived at the scene and witnessed the horse's attack on Craig. He convinced Kim not to call an ambulance, suggesting they both had to protect themselves as suspects. They decided to walk away and create watertight alibis, leaving Craig to his fate.

The revelation that Craig's killer was a horse left Emmerdale viewers stunned. Many took to social media to express their surprise and disbelief at the unexpected twist. The episode ended with Kim releasing Ice into the woods alone as part of her alibi.

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
