KYLE Winchester faces justice for the murder of Al Chapman while his parents engage in a different kind of battle.

Major news reaches the young boy portrayed by Huey Quinn next week in Emmerdale.

Kyle Winchester faces justice for the murder of Al Chapman

But there’s another storm occurring around him

Cain is determined to keep Kyle in his life while Amy Wyatt is adamant on getting full custody

Convinced that Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) is a bad influence on their son Kyle, Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) has decide to keep him away from the boy by demanding sole custody.

Next week on ITV, her partner Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) fails to hide his inner conflict when he asks her if this would be the best thing for Kyle.

But Amy has more important matters on her mind and she tries to stay strong as a terrified Kyle apprehends his hearing.

As viewers of the Yorkshire-based soap will remember, Kyle shot Al Chapman, which resulted in the businessman’s death and his father Cain had initially taken the blame for him.

Cain’s involvement in Al’s death was more than credible for authorities as the pair of men shared an intense feud for several years.

However, Kyle couldn’t cope with his guilty conscience and eventually confessed, which allowed Cain to return to the eponymous village after spending time behind bars.

Nonetheless, Cain feels powerless as he’s separated from his son ahead of his hearing.

The village tough man decides to use force, strong arming his way into Keepers to see Kyle and Amy is fuming at his intrusion.

Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) flies to his half-brother’s rescue one again when he sees how important it is for both Cain and Kyle to share a moment and he convinces Amy to relent.

Soon enough, everyone is on tenterhooks when Kyle’s solicitor phones with huge news for him – what could it be?

While that remains to be discovered, Amy suddenly decides the timing is perfect to propose to Matty.

His mother, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) is delighted to hear about the proposal… but Matty shares his unease.

He quickly tells Moira he’s unable to shake the feeling this is all part of Amy’s plan to get full custody of Kyle, believing she wouldn’t stand a chance as a single mother.

The war for Kyle takes another turn when Moira explodes with rage at Matty’s news regarding Amy’s custody intentions.

In later scenes, however, she tries to calm Cain as he bangs on Amy’s door, desperate to shout the odds over her plan to get full custody.

Will Cain ever get to spend time with Kyle again?

Emmerdale airs from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
