TENSION runs high tonight in the Dales as Belle Dingle desperately tries to bring Tom and Jimmy King together.
Sadly, the uncle and nephew duo are too plagued by bad memories and go head to head tonight in Emmerdale.
Jimmy and Tom King struggle to get along
But they’re due for an explosive fight tonight
Can Belle help them patch things up?
Tom King (played by James Chase) rocked up the ITV village but had no intention of rekindling his relationship with his family.
After a decade a Saudi Arabia, however, he was able to bond with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) all over again and she went above and beyond to push Tom towards his uncle Jimmy King (Nick Miles).
But a recent conversation about his late father Carl King, a well-known and feared villain in the village, led Tom to flee, unable to cope with his father’s actions.
Tonight, Belle is determined to be as open as possible with Tom and decides to make a shocking confession.
Belle is due to talk about her former friend Gemma Andrews’ death, which occurred in 2014 while Tom was away in Saudi Arabia.
At the time, Belle was still slowly recovering from their breakup and she befriended Gemma but love rivalry came into the mix.
Gemma and Belle got involved in a shocking altercation and the former got badly hurt after being pushed onto the ground and hitting her head on a rock.
She collapsed unconscious while walking home and eventually died in hospital when she was taken off life support.
Belle received comeuppance for Gemma’s death but she struggled to overcome her guilt.
Following Gemma’s accidental demise, Belle began to hear voices and was overwhelmed by symptoms of psychosis.
She was later diagnosed with schizophrenia.
How will Tom react to Belle’s confession tonight?
While this remains to be seen, Belle is mortified when her actions indirectly lead up to a confrontation between Tom and Jimmy.
Can she help them get along and mend their relationship?
Emmerdale airs tonight from 7.30pm on ITV.
