MOTHERHOOD is a challenge for sixteen-year-old Amelia Spencer and Samson Dingle wont be making it any easier.
The young mother gets a nasty shock next week when a social worker rocks up Emmerdale, worried about baby Esther.

Amelia was found alone in a barn and brought to hospital by Lydia Dingle amid the soap’s high-paced anniversary week.
The teen played by Daisy Campbell gave birth prematurely to a daughter she named Esther.
Since then, Amelia has done her best to take care of her child but she’s quickly worn out next week and begins to doubt her abilities.
Her father Dan (portrayed by Liam Fox) reassures her, telling her things can only get better with habit.
Amelia isn’t convinced and even struggles to find a babysitter.
Thankfully for her, doting grandmother figure Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) has a solution.
But things take a turn in later scenes.
As another dawn rises in the Dales, a confused Dan opens his door to a social worker.
Worried, Amelia is then shocked to learn there’s been a complaint made about baby Esther’s welfare.
However, Lydia isn’t to blame, unlike Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) who is determined to keep Esther from ruining his plans for the future.
When Lydia gives him Esther, Samson is furious and suggests putting the baby up for adoption.
He then cruelly reminds Amelia of her abortion plans but is annoyed when his plan backfires.
As fans of the Yorkshire-based program may remember, Amelia initially intended to get an abortion when she first found out she was pregnant.
But with some advice, most notably from Charity Dingle, she kept her baby and her pregnancy shockingly came to light.
And while Samson fiercely rejects his own daughter, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) treasures her and sets up a cot for in his room.
A heated confrontation between Noah and Samson ensues and the latter is adamant on doing something major.
Samson, who viewers once loved because of his kind-hearted nature, stoops to a shocking low and calls social services, pleading them to take Esther into care.
