I’M A CELEBRITY has finally introduced Matt Hancock into the camp… and already tensions are simmering between his new co-stars.
But while it didn’t take long for the former health secretary to get a grilling from his campmates, one star had already got a few jabs in where he can… his fellow new addition, Seann Walsh.
As the pair entered the ITV jungle on Wednesday night, Seann was the first to arrive in the secondary ‘Mole Headquarters’, and was stunned when Hancock followed shortly after.
Even in his first Bush telegraph chat, the comedian made no secret of his disbelief, unable to get Hancock’s name out of his mouth without laughing.
Back in the camp, Seann couldn’t resist taking jabs as Hancock asked him: “But this is camp, right? This must be the fire pit area.”
“We’ve got a detective in,” Seann swiped, before asking “Can you make a fire?”
Apparently, not. Though to be fair neither could Seann.
Following their less-than-warm arrival to camp after only getting six out of 11 stars in the bushtucker trial, it seems that Seann still can’t quite believe who he’s being forced to team up with.
Fans have also noticed that things aren’t going that swimmingly either between the pair, and expect tensions going forward.
“SEANN BASICALLY TELLING MATT THAT THE CAMPMATES WILL HATE HIM I ACTUALLY CANT,” wrote one delighted viewer.
“Seann Walsh’s reaction to Matt Hancock being in the jungle has to be one of the funniest things I have seen on this,” said a second.
A third added: “Seann Walsh is absolutely killing me hahahahahah not even hiding the fact that everyone hates Matt Hancock”
But they’ll have to work together as the pair have been given the task of being “moles of the camp” – with producers feeding them missions to do their bidding to keep things interesting.
They have to split their time between main camp, and a secret tunnel that leads them to Mole Headquarters.
As part of their first list of tasks, they had to convince the camp that one of them was a birdwatcher, and calling Chris Moyles “Greg” at least three times.
