EMMERDALE actor Jonny McPherson has confessed that he is loved-up with a mystery woman following his split from Natalie J Robb.

The actor plays Dr Liam Cavanagh in the ITV soap and has seen his fair share of trials and tribulations with Liam now embarking on a steamy affair with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson).

However, away from the Dales, Jonny admits his life is a lot more settled.

Speaking to OK Magazine, he confirmed he had moved-on from his ex, co-star Natalie, and had found love with a brand new woman.

Jonny and Natalie split in 2021 after getting together during the lockdown.

The actor told the publication: “I am with someone. She is absolutely wonderful.”

It appears Jonny met the new lady in his life shortly after his split from Natalie after admitting the romance has been going strong for a “couple of years”.

He said: “We’ve been together for a couple of years. I am really happy.”

Elsewhere, he also divulged more information on his personal life, something he often keeps under wraps.

He confirmed that the money he has been able to earn on Emmerdale has allowed him to finally get a mortgage and he revealed he had finally purchased a flat in Leeds.

Prior to this, he was living on a canal boat after struggling to have enough financial security for a mortgage.

Jonny said: “It can be very difficult to get a mortgage if you are only working for six months of the year. So, when you get two years of working on something like Emmerdale, it allows you to get a mortgage finally.

“I’ve got a flat now in Leeds and I’ve sold my boat.

“I did put it on Airbnb for 18 months before I sold it, and it really took off.

“After a while, though, it began to get more difficult to manage. I was having to check in guests at 10pm on a Friday evening on top of my full-time role in Emmerdale and I decided to sell.”

Despite his new found success, he admitted he was happy where he was in life and had no plans to conquer Hollywood or further his acting dream.

Jonny said to OK: “I’ve no ambitions to conquer Hollywood and it’s such a pleasure being a part of Emmerdale.”
