She is shutting down Nordi Babi two years after leaving Emmerdale

Charley, who is married to Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, has been selling Scandinavian-inspired handcrafted toys online.

But she is now offering her customers a big discount so she can clear her stock before Nordi Babi closes for good.

Writing on her Instagram Stories, Charley said: “@nordi_babi is closing.

“I’ve loved this chapter and the journey it’s taken us on but we just don’t have the time to run it the way we want to.

“I love everything Scandi so this has been a dream.”

She has also posted a similar message on Nordi Babi’s Instagram page.

“We’re Closing ♡,” Charley wrote. “We’ve loved this journey so much but we just don’t have the time to run it the way we want.

“There’s a 40 per cent closing down sale ✨ thank you for your support, it’s been the most amazing journey with you all.”

Fans have been quick to share their disappointment at Charley’s sad news.

One told the mum-of-three: ‘So sorry to hear this guys!”

Another added: “So sorry to hear your closing this business. You have some wonderful toys in this site.

“I’ve ordered before from you and have just ordered some other bits. Thank you.”

And a third penned: “Ahhh so sorry to hear this but thank you for my rainbow light love it.”

Charley is best known for playing Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale.

She landed the role in 2002 when she was just 14 years old and was a favourite among fans.

But after 19 years, Charley walked away from the ITV soap for good following the birth of hers and Matthew’s third child, Ace.

In 2021, HOAR revealed that the actress would not be returning to Emmerdale.

A source at the time said: “Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back.

“After she gave birth to her third child with Matthew in 2019 she returned briefly before taking some time out again.

“The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.”

The insider added: “Charley has been on Emmerdale for 19 years and her character Debbie has had a rollercoaster ride. It’s time for a new adventure for Charley.

“Naturally the door is open for her character, who is now living in Scotland, should she change her mind. But for now she is looking to the future.”

Charley went on to confirm the news herself at the beginning of 2022.

“This is always my most asked question but I’ve never answered it before because I’ve never wanted to make a big deal of it,” Charley said online.

“I left to have Ace 2 years ago. I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline.

“So, I guess officially it’s been a year. I never felt the need to announce it which is why we didn’t.”
