Times have changed for Lauren Bolton, more than a year after Griff Reynolds' arrest, and she has been struggling. However, things go from bad to worse for her, and just as she gets ready to leave Coronation Street, the teen vanishes into thin air.

Struggling to Fit In

The wayward teen portrayed by Cait Fitton has struggled to fit in Weatherfield as her connection to Griff Reynolds' far-right group could not be forgotten by some residents. But during her months back in the cobbles, she has managed to bond with a handful of young characters in the likes of her former boyfriend Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and his girlfriend Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos).

Financial Woes

Unfortunately for Lauren, her finances have been one of her biggest woes in the Street as she has been unable to rely on her imprisoned father and hasn't been on good terms with her mother since her comeback. Desperate to make ends meet as her shifts in Roy Cropper's café are not enough for the lifestyle she wishes to have, Lauren turned to O-Vidz, much like Ryan Connor did before her. Sadly, this could cause her more issues as Lauren is underage.

Trouble Looms

Next week, Bobby tells Lauren he knows about her O-Vidz videos and he's worried about her. Lauren clams up, leaving Bobby frustrated. In other scenes, Lauren admits to Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) that she's skint and wonders if she'd write up her story. The teen explains she'd like to talk about how she was brainwashed by a far-right group and sell it to a magazine.

A Mysterious Disappearance

Later on, Bobby arrives at Lauren's flat and finding the door unlocked, lets himself in. With no sign of Lauren, Bobby sends her a text and heads out, locking the door behind him. Bobby shares his concerns about Lauren with Max, telling him how he found her flat door unlocked, but no sign of her. Who could be responsible for Lauren's disappearance? Could members of the far-right gang be looking for revenge?

Will Lauren Ever Find a Way?

Regular viewers of the Manchester-based program will recall that Lauren was used by Griff Reynolds to groom Max into joining the far-right group. But once Griff was arrested and Max realized what he had been embroiled in, Lauren escaped the cobbles before facing trouble. Will Lauren ever find a way to make things work in Weatherfield? Will she really leave?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
