THE partner of a Hollyoaks actress killed by a speeding driver has shared his agony, saying that his future is “crushed”.
Adil Iqbal, 22, filmed himself driving at 123mph just moments before fatally colliding with pregnant Frankie Jules-Hough, 38.

Frankie’s partner, Calvin Buckley, told Iqbal’s trial: “My past, present and future has been crushed and taken from me.
“And for what? An adrenaline rush, an ego boost, a false sense of worth, and selfish gratification with no regard for the safety of others.
“An unnecessarily dangerous risk-taking mentality that needs to change.
“For what? Was it worth it? The answer is no, it is not.”
Iqbal was driving his dad’s BMW 140i at high speed on the M66 near Bury, Greater Manchester, when he hit mum-of-two Frankie, who played Jess Holt on Hollyoaks in the early 2000s.
The actress has pulled over onto the hard shoulder to deal with a punctured tyre when she was hit while her two sons and nephew waited in the car.
Iqbal, from Accrington, Lancashire, had undertaken a motorbike and swerved, overcompensated and hit the central reservation.
The impact sent the BMW into a 92mph spin before colliding with Frankie’s Skoda Fabia at around 3.10pm.
The mum was making a call to her son’s father saying she would be late when she let out a “blood-curdling scream”, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
The smash left Frankie’s son, nine, and nephew, four, with serious brain injuries.
Her two-year-old son was airlifted to hospital alongside the other three.
Frankie died later in hospital while her eldest son and nephew were left in induced comas in intensive care.
Iqbal admitted two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and one count of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was sentenced to 12 years behind bars, which Frankie’s family slammed as too lenient.
Solictor Rose Gibson-Harper, representing Frankie’s nephew, added: “Today’s 12-year sentence is insulting and an injustice.
“This case stands as one of the worst examples of dangerous driving I have witnessed in my 27-year career as a catastrophic injury lawyer.
“And we expected the justice system to fulfil its duty and utilise its new-found powers.”
