A hug between the former spouses led to a kiss, prompting Chas to confess she’d been wanting to start afresh with Paddy and put the past behind them.
But in scenes due to air next week on ITV, she’s taken aback when Paddy makes it clear he’s ready to turn a new leaf.
He announces he’s been in touch with a solicitor about their divorce and explains he doesn’t see the use in prolonging things.
Paddy takes things a step further and asks her if she’d like to make a joint divorce application.
