Who is Steph Stokes?

Steph Stokes, with her strong cockney accent, made quite an impression during her time on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale. Known as the Queen of Mean, she caused quite a stir in the village and found herself on the wrong side of the law.

Her Reign of Terror

Steph Stokes arrived in Emmerdale in 2002 and wasted no time establishing herself as the village's resident troublemaker. She started off by getting involved with her daughter Tricia's boyfriends, causing quite a scandal. Steph's devious deeds didn't end there – she tried to steal Rodney Blackstock's priceless ornament and his heart. However, she quickly jilted him when she realized he wasn't the rich husband she desired.

A Dark Path

Steph's villainous behavior escalated when she pushed her own father Alan down the stairs. However, her most significant crime was her involvement in her brother's murder. She helped Adam Forsythe conceal the body, but ended up taking the fall for the crime. Steph was eventually sentenced to life in prison, even though she didn't commit the murder.

Her Final Appearance

Steph Stokes was last seen on Emmerdale in 2013, when she was granted compassionate leave from prison to attend her father's funeral. She remains behind bars, serving time for a crime she didn't actually commit.
