YOUNG widower Vinny Dingle left his love life on the backburner after the death of his beloved wife Liv Flaherty.

However, one Emmerdale resident could change things up for him as friendship blossoms next week on ITV.

But could it be time for him to move on?

And could Naomi Walters be a new love interest?

Liv Flaherty died in heart-breaking scenes aired in late 2022, in honour of the Yorkshire drama’s fiftieth anniversary.

At the time of her death, Liv was married with Vinny Dingle (played by Bradley Johnson) and the pair had plans to travel around the world together.

But since her tragic demise, Vinny has stuck around in the village as he processed Liv’s death.

Will he ever move on from her?

Earlier this year, viewers of the long-running program believed Vinny could have found a new love interest in the form of Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

However, Thomas King’s return to the eponymous village changed everything as Belle rekindled their romance after a decade.

Thankfully for Vinny, there are plenty of single ladies in Emmerdale and one of them may catch his eye.

Coming up next week, Vinny grows closer to a surprising character – Naomi Walters who is none other than Charles Anderson’s daughter.

The pair’s friendship blossoms next week as they bump into one another in Mandy Dingle’s beauty salon.

But could it pave the way for romance?

Naomi has had bad luck in matters of the heart.

After embarking on a relationship with Nate Robinson, she became involved with troublemaker Alex Moore but broke things off with him when she realised he’d been up to no good.

Could Vinny be a good match for her?

While this remains to be seen, the budding love story may have a sad ending as actress Karene Peter is tipped to exit Emmerdale in upcoming weeks.

Could her on-screen alter ego leave the Dales to help Vinny fulfil Liv’s dream of travelling around the world?

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
