Former Strictly Pro Brendan Cole Criticizes Couple's Dance

Brendan Cole, a former professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has compared one couple's routine to a Magic Mike strip show. Cole, who now provides commentary as a ballroom expert, expressed his disapproval of Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin's racy pole number, stating that it was not in line with the traditional ballroom and Latin dancing that Strictly is known for.

Judges Divided on the Performance

Layton and Nikita's modern dance to "Ain't No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera received mixed reviews from the judges. While Craig Revel Horwood gave them a nine, both head judge Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabusi gave the pair a standing ovation. The routine earned them 39 points in total.

Cole Blames Nikita for the Choreography

In a recent interview with Sky Bingo, Brendan Cole criticized Nikita for his choreography, suggesting that he should change his vision and move away from West End showcases. Cole believes that the majority of Strictly viewers would prefer to see something more traditional and beautiful.

Fans React with Shock and Excitement

While some fans enjoyed Layton and Nikita's routine, others were left shocked and excited by the performance. Social media was flooded with comments expressing surprise and even claiming that the routine gave them a heart attack.

Controversy Surrounds Layton's Casting

Layton, known for his roles in musicals such as Billy Elliot and Everybody's Talking About Jamie, has faced fix claims since being cast in this year's series. Despite the controversy, Strictly Come Dancing continues this weekend on BBC One and iPlayer.
