FOLLOWING on from last week, there are two free games that PC gamers can pick up completely free right now. The highly-rated horror sequel is worth £25 alone, so you can get big savings by downloading and keeping both for life.

The Evil Within 2

October is the spooky season, and to celebrate Epic Games Store is now giving away the sequel to last week’s classic horror game. Following on from the 2014 original, The Evil Within 2 is a much-needed refresh and upgrade to the original game. Developed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, many see the third-person survival horror adventure, and a spiritual successor to Resident Evil 4.

The blurb reads: "Detective Sebastian Castellanos has lost it all, but when given a chance to save his daughter, Sebastian must descend once more into the nightmarish world of STEM. Horrifying threats emerge from every corner as the world twists and warps around him. Tackle adversity head on with upgradeable weapons, cleverly deployed traps and even stealthily avoiding harm’s way in this nail-biting survival horror sequel from the talented team at Tango Gameworks. Return to the nightmare to win back your life and loved ones as you plunge into the twisted world of The Evil Within 2."

Tandem: A Tale of Shadows

The second game available this month is Tandem: A Tale of Shadows, a puzzle platformer with a creepy vibe. A story-driven puzzle game, you play both as young Emma and her teddy Fenton in two styles of play.

The blurb reads: "Tandem: A Tale of Shadows features five beautiful Victorian-inspired worlds inspired by Tim Burton, Jules Vernes, Conan Doyle. Players have to carefully alternate between Emma’s top-down view and Fenton’s horizontal side-scroller view if they hope to escape these dimensions alive. As the duo navigates past intelligent obstacles and menacing horrors, they uncover clues regarding Thomas’ disappearance, the strange Kane family, and their place in this universe. Will Emma and Fenton escape the murderous manor filled with twists and turns, or has their fate already been sealed?"

Both games are available until Thursday, November 2, 2023, so you have a week to grab them. They are both available for players on Windows PC and can be picked up via their store pages on either the Epic Games Store launcher or website. You will need to download the launcher in order to play, so it is worth grabbing it via this method.
