KAREN Hauer prefers dancing with women because she feels more “comfortable”.
The 40-year-old professional who married fitness trainer Jordan Wyn-Jones in June, is partnered with comedian Jayde Adams, 37.

Karen said: “ I’ve danced with a lot of male dancers, but it’s finding what works for them. This is more natural.
“It is female empowerment for me to be dancing with Jayde. I feel the most comfortable because there is that friendship. We are girls and we talk about everything. We cry together, we laugh together.
We share so many things. When it comes to the dancing we are able to put that emotion into it.”
Karen said it had been an emotional week in rehearsals, as they prepared for the American Smooth to Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler.
It is in memory of Jayde’s sister Jenna, who died at the age of 26 from a brain tumour 11 years ago. The siblings used to dance together as youngsters.
At the Attitude awards on Wednesday night, Venezuelan-born Karen added: “This week we have cried every single day.
“It is very emotional and special. This song is especially close to her heart and dedicated to her sister.”
