With the highly anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special just around the corner, Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan has revealed that her journey on the show hasn't been all glitz and glamour. Despite her performance prowess, Keisha admits to feeling nervous and humbled by the experience.

Keisha Buchanan faces her dancing fears

As one of the six celebrities taking to the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor this Christmas, Keisha Buchanan has opened up about her nerves and lack of dancing experience. In a recent interview, she confessed, "I feel like I have struggled and haven't had that much time to rehearse. I definitely think that's one thing that I am nervous about." Keisha also revealed that she has never had any dance training.

A learning experience for Keisha Buchanan

Although Keisha has previously performed on the Strictly ballroom with the Sugababes, this time around, she sees herself as a student. She describes the experience as humbling and a great learning opportunity. Keisha expressed her gratitude for the supportive working environment on the show, calling it the best she has ever experienced.

Keisha Buchanan will be performing with Strictly stalwart Gorka Márquez and competing against other stars such as Doctor Who's Tillie Amartey, rugby ace Danny Cipriani, and TV presenter Dan Snow. Despite her nerves, Keisha shared her excitement, stating, "I am so excited to be taking part, and over Christmas too, my favorite time of the year! I am looking forward to learning some new moves and embracing the dancefloor!"

Keisha Buchanan and the Sugababes had a memorable year, including a sold-out O2 Arena show and a successful UK tour. They also released their first album since 2010, which reached number two on the iTunes chart. With their return to the limelight, Keisha is ready to take on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
