Results Spoiled Again
Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left furious once again as the results for Blackpool week leaked online, adding fuel to the ongoing "fix" controversy surrounding the show. While the main episode airs live on Saturdays, the results show is pre-recorded on Sundays. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the leak of the results before fans have a chance to watch the show, spoiling the surprise for many.
Outrage Over Angela Rippon's Survival
The leak comes amidst a heated "fix" row, with fans expressing their outrage over former Come Dancing host Angela Rippon surviving to this week's Blackpool show, exactly 40 years after she hosted there. Although the specific leaked results have not been revealed to preserve the surprise, those who have been spoiled have made their fury known.
Top Performances of the Night
In tonight's episode, Waterloo Road star Layton Williams and partner Nikita Kuzmin impressed the judges with their pole-based routine to Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man." They topped the leaderboard, along with former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and partner Vito Coppola. However, despite the high praise, Layton and Nikita fell just short of securing full marks from the judges.
Three of the judges awarded the pair a 10 for their couple's choice routine, while Craig Revel Horwood gave them a nine. This resulted in an overall judges' score of 39. Revel Horwood, in particular, praised Layton as one of the most incredible dancers he has seen in the 20 years he has been on the show.
Head judge Shirley Ballas also complimented Layton, calling his performance "creative genius."
Angela Rippon at the Bottom
On the other end of the leaderboard, Angela Rippon and partner Kai Widdrington received just 28 points, placing them at the bottom of the rankings for the night.
