Actor Nigel Harman spotted leaving his home following shock announcement

Actor Nigel Harman, 50, has been seen in public for the first time since announcing his withdrawal from Strictly Come Dancing. Harman looked downcast as he left his London home, carrying a suit bag and backpack. Earlier today, it was revealed that Harman had suffered a rib injury, forcing him to pull out of tonight's live show.

Disappointment for Harman and partner Katya Jones

Harman's departure from the competition means that there will be no elimination this week. The remaining celebrities – Ellie Leach, Annabel Croft, Layton Williams, and Bobby Brazier – will all progress to the next round. Harman and his dance partner Katya Jones were disappointed by the news, as they had not yet landed in the bottom two and had a real chance of making it to the finals.

Steamiest routine of the series

Last weekend, Harman and Jones performed the steamiest routine of the series, dancing a rhumba to Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now." The pair received praise for their chemistry and connection during the performance. Harman expressed his enjoyment of working with Jones and their partnership on the dancefloor.

Second shock exit this series

Harman's departure follows Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice's withdrawal from the competition on medical grounds. Abbington was also considered a strong contender for the glitterball trophy after delivering a series of impressive performances.
