One of this year's Strictly Come Dancing contestants has made a big decision to switch partners

In a shocking shake-up for the popular dance show, Channel 4 newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy has decided to dance with a brand new partner on the show's live arena tour. Unfortunately, his original partner Lauren Oakley had prior contractual obligations with fellow pro Giovanni Pernice, preventing her from joining him on tour. But Krishnan will be in good hands as he teams up with reigning show champion Jowita Przystal instead.

Excitement and Confusion Surrounds the Decision

Krishnan took to Instagram to announce the news, expressing his excitement and admitting that the decision to switch partners was a big one. He wrote, "It's going to be brilliant but different…with Lauren's trademark encouragement, I'm very excited to be dancing with the amazing Jowita Przystal."

Meet the Rest of the Star-Studded Lineup

Krishnan will be joined by other celebrities from the class of 2023 for the tour, including EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, model Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach, Vito Coppola, Angela Rippon, Kai Widdrington, Layton Williams, Nikita Kuzmin, Angela Scanlon, Carlos Gu, and tennis ace Annabel Croft.

30 Scintillating Shows Across the Country

The Strictly Come Dancing live arena tour will kick off in Birmingham in January and will feature 30 captivating shows in cities such as Manchester, Sheffield, London, and Liverpool. Janette Manrara will be hosting the proceedings, with Shirley Ballas as head judge and co-stars Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood.
