STRICTLY fans reckon they know who will be in next year’s series after spotting clue.

Eagle-eyed fans have worked out a theory that would see a popular podcaster in the line-up for 2023’s show.

Strictly Come Dancing has announced the line-up for its Christmas special

Rosie Ramsay will take part – and now fans think she’ll do 2023’s show too

Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced one of this year’s Christmas stars, Rosie Ramsey, is doing the one-off as a trial run for the main show.

They took to Reddit to talk about it.

One said about Rosie: “If I recall right, Helen Skelton did the festive special and then got a main cast place this year, so it’s not impossible for the same to happen here which I’d love.”

Another chimed in: “She’s an ex-professional dancer so I’m guessing that’s why they’re putting her on the Christmas special not the main show – or they’re testing the waters to see how it goes down before maybe putting her on the main show!

A third echoed: “Buzzzzzzzzzing! I adore Rosie – though in all honesty, I’d rather see her as a full-on contestant than a one-off!”

A fourth added: “Could still happen. Maisie Smith was in the 2019 Christmas special and then took part in the main series in 2020.”

Rosie Ramsey was the first star confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

The wife of funnyman Chris – who hosts a podcast with him – will be taking to the dance floor in a bid of win the glitterball trophy over the festive period.

The news was announced on BBC’s Morning Live, where Rosie revealed her professional partner is Neil Jones.

She said: “I am thrilled to be dancing in this year’s Strictly Christmas special!

“After watching my husband Chris compete a few years ago, I’ve been desperate to get on that dance floor myself!

“I also absolutely LOVE Christmas, and my partner Neil is lovely, so this is just perfect.  Best. Christmas. Ever!”

Rosie’s husband Chris appeared on Strictly in 2019 alongside pro Karen Hauer and made it to the semi final.

The Christmas special will see six brand new celebrity contestants take to the floor in a bid to be crowned Christmas Champion 2022.

Each of the six couples will perform a Christmas inspired routine with the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, Head Judge Shirley Ballas, and the voting audience.

Rosie is best known for co-hosting the smash hit podcast, Sh**ged Married Annoyed, with her comedian husband, Chris.
