THE salaries of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals have been revealed – and it’s the same even if they’re kicked out on week two.
So far pros Kai Widdrington, Giovanni Pernice and Nadiya Bychkova have been eliminated from the competition, with their respective partners Kaye Adams, Richie Anderson and Matt Goss.
The professional dancers are thought to receive the same salary – regardless of where they place in the competition
It’s thought the winning celebrity – last year’s champs Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice pictured – bags £100k.
But Kai, 27, Giovanni, 32, and Nadiya, 33, will all be paid the same as whoever reaches the final, according to reports.
The Daily Star reports that all professional dancers are paid between £35k and £50k – regardless of where they end up in the competition.
Dancers are free to top up their earnings with other projects, brand deals and collaborations.
It was recently revealed former professional Oti Mabuse netted up to £500k a year alongside her Strictly fee thanks to TV and advertising deals.
And the salaries for the celebrity dancers are equally as fair.
According to the Metro, stars get £25k just for signing up for the show.
If they make it through the first month of live shows this goes up to £40k.
Quarter-finalists get £60k while finalists bag £75k. The overall winner walks away with £100k.
But it’s not so straightforward when it comes to the salaries of judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabusi and Anton Du Beke.
Motsi was offered a starting salary of £200,000 when she joined the Strictly judging panel in 2019.
But the German dance school she runs with husband Evgenij Voznyuk also brings in more income for her, and she’s the ambassador for the German Weight Watchers.
Craig has been on the show since it started. This means he can command a decent salary.
The 57-year-old has previously been reported to have had a salary of £110,000 when he first began in 2004.
His salary then shot up to £200,000 in 2020, to match Motsi’s.
Head judge Shirley began on £180k when she joined the show in 2017.
Since then she has negotiated a pay rise, bringing her Strictly salary up to £500,000 per series.
The star has an additional salary from other projects, with her income also coming from teaching at a dance school in Streatham, South London, and she earns money from panto.
Anton du Beke has trebled his wage after replacing Bruno Tonioli on the show’s judging panel.
SE understands Anton, 56, bags between £175,000 and £200,000.
