The wildlife cameraman, 32, beat fellow contestants including, Fleur East and Helen Skelton.

And while Hamza’s win was met with a round of applause and and supportive messages from fans on social media, it seems one person who was not too pleased was Strictly’s pro dancer Gorka Marquez.

Now, Gorka, 32, has decided to speak out after fans accused him of being a bad loser. Taking to social media, Gorka was quick to pay tribute to the winners.

The father of one wrote: “The Champs!!! Congratulations to both of you for a great series!! #bravo.”

Hamza’s win came as a bit of a shock as he had finished bottom of the leaderboard with the judges after making a few mistakes during his Showdance.

But he soon redeemed himself after scoring a perfect 40 for his favourite dance, Couple’s Choice.

However, it was spotted by avid viewers that Gorka didn’t share in Hamza’s delight. Gorka, 32, made it to the final with Helen Skelton but this is now the third time he has failed to hold the glitterball trophy.

One fan said: “Gorka can’t hide his feelings at all … I feel you hun #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Another wrote: “gorka looks like he’s about to whack someone ???? how about celebrating your friends?! #Strictly.”

Off screen Gorka’s wife, former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson was quick to share their disappointment.

In a video en route to their hotel room, Gemma told fans: “We are – I am gutted, I am gutted.”
