STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Tyler West was left terrified filming Sunday night’s results show thanks to dance partner Dianne Buswell.

Tyler and Dianne have been impressive audiences with their high energy routines in the competition, and this week was no different as they performed a Tango to the Doctor Who theme song.

When it came to the results, Dianne was ‘held up’ by Tyler as she stopped breathing

However, when it came to knowing the results, Tyler and Dianne were left hanging and as a result went into panic mode as the numbers got tighter, something which Tyler has now opened up about.

Speaking with Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely on KISS Breakfast on Monday morning, Tyler revealed Dianne had stopped breathing while waiting to hear their fate.

“It was honestly so nerve-wracking, they announced it in random order,” Tyler said about his long wait to know he was safe.

“Do you know what? I was actually holding up Dianne as well because she wasn’t breathing and also, I actually didn’t really understand the words that were being said, so I actually thought we were in the dance off for a hot second.”

Thankfully, he was OK and the pair were sent through to next week’s show, with Jayde Adams and Mollie Rainford landing in the bottom and facing the dance-off.

“You know what it felt mad, I was just over moon because I feel like we’d done enough to leave it all on the dancefloor Saturday night,” Tyler said. “Yeah, it was just a bit nerve-wracking.”

Jayde and pro partner Karen Hauer were the couple that eventually left the dancefloor for good on Saturday night, which was themed to celebrate the BBC’s Centenary.

The couple had performed a Charleston to Victoria Wood’s Let’s Do It sketch, but faced Mollie and Carlos on the dance floor who performed a couples’ choice routine to the Grange Hill theme.

Eventually judges voted unanimously to save Mollie and Carlos, and a tearful Jayde was eliminated.

As she said goodbye, Jayde told Tess Daly: “This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with

you [Karen] and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

“You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen. And everyone on this show, said it to me, when I had you, they said ‘you’ve got the best one’ sorry everyone, and I did and you are fantastic, and this has been such an honour.

“Not only have I got to be on Strictly Come Dancing but I got to have Karen Hauer! You are amazing, thank you for everything! I’ve done shows before, and nothing holds a candle to the way that this show is run.

“It is an incredible thing to be a part of as a performer, we are so looked after, and in this industry where so many people aren’t looked after, this show is incredible, well done everyone.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
