MORTAL KOMBAT 1 has announced a new early access session for fans.
The series’ reboot will see a full release on September 19, 2023, but players can dive in early.
Mortal Kombat 1 is expected to be a hit.
Warner Bros. Games has already announced a beta test that will take place in August this year.
The beta test will be open to anyone who pre-orders the game before the beta test starts.
However, there has been a new stress test announced, which will be open to all those interested in playing the upcoming Mortal Kombat.
The test is open to anyone who lives in North America, Latin America, and Europe (including the UK).
There is an FAQ for the upcoming stress test that clarifies that it will not be a beta.
It reads: “No, the test is not a Beta, it is a true stress test.
“The purpose is to deliberately stress our online infrastructure and identify potential issues ahead of the game’s launch.
“The test is also unrelated to the Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta that has been announced for August 2023.”
As part of the stress test, people will still be able to take part in online fights against other players.
This includes 1vs1 online multiplayer, as well as a limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against AI opponents.
The test will only be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players, with no Switch or PC stress test planned.
In order to take part in the test, you must first have a WB Games account. You can then sign up for the test via the website.
While the test will take place online, you will not require PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold in order to play.
There is no date currently given for the test, so those interested should sign up as soon as possible.
