A NEW report has revealed what people think is the release date for the next Nintendo console.

Called the Switch 2 by fans, we’ve been waiting for a new Nintendo system for years.

The Switch OLED is the latest Switch console to be released.

Originally released in 2017, the Switch is now reaching the end of its life cycle after almost seven years.

We expected to see the announcement of a new console before then, but Nintendo has kept its cards close to its chest.

However, a new report by VGC seems closer to the truth about the next generation Nintendo console than ever before.

It appears that the console will function like the Switch, in that it will have both TV and portable modes.

The Switch 2 is also expected to have a cartridge slot like its predecessor, and play physical games.

In terms of specs, it will supposedly have all the usual upgrades like increased storage capacity, and better performance.

Nintendo’s Switch has been incredibly successful and continues to sell well even deep into its life cycle.

This is likely why the company has hesitated to announce a successor, even though it will have to eventually.

Backwards compatibility for the next console has not been mentioned, though Nintendo says it hopes to be able to convert some of the Switch’s fan base over to the next console.

Dev kits are apparently already with key developers, so that they can work on the next generation of games.

With this timeline we can expect the Switch’s successor to launch sometime in late 2024.

It will likely come out in time for the holidays in an attempt to boost sales.
