Discover the Pokémon that can take down both Dialga and Palkia solo in the raids.

POKÉMON is getting ready for one of the biggest updates ever, but there is plenty to do while we wait.
Aside from all of the excellent mystery gift Pokémon you can grab, there are also some very difficult legendary raids.
Dialga is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet.
Dialga and Palkia are now in the game, and you can take them down in special tera raids.
If you are struggling to grab your powerful legends, here’s everything you need to know to catch them in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Each legendary is locked to one game, so Scarlet players will be able to grab Dialga, and Violet players can catch Palkia.
If you want both, you’ll have to connect with someone who owns the opposite game version, or take part in online raids.
Both legendary dragons are available for two weeks, starting on Friday, December 8, 2023, and ending on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
There is no telling if these Pokémon will come back, so it’s good to grab them now.

Both raids are five-star raids, and both come with Telepathy and the Dragon-tera type.
While they are both level 75, each Dragon is still incredibly powerful, and will need preparation in order to take down.
Dialga opens with Trick Room, so slower Pokémon move first, and Stealth Rocks which will damage you if you are knocked out.
After the barrier breaks, it will also set up Iron Defense, halving the damage of physical moves.
Dialga – Level 75
Nature – Quiet
Ability – Telepathy
Item – None
Tera type – Dragon
Move set – Trick Room, Stealth Rocks, Iron Defense, Draco Meter, Earth Power, Steel Beam, Fire Blast
Palkia will open the fight with Gravity so that all of its powerful attacks will be accurate, and Rain Dance will make Hydro Pump even stronger.
After this, it will focus on hitting you with very hard-hitting attacks, so you will need to make sure you can resist them.
Palkia – Level 75
Nature – Modest
Ability – Telepathy
Item – None
Tera type – Dragon
Move set – Gravity, Rain Dance, Draco Meteor, Thunder, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump

Azumarill can take on both of these titans.
There is one Pokémon that can take down both Dialga and Palkia solo, and is even easier to do if you have a support with you.
Azumarill is a staple of difficult raids, and it works even better than usual here.
It is immune or resists a number of the most powerful attacks, and is hit neutrally by Steel Beam.
Azumarill has access to Belly Drum, which will maximise your attack, and you can get all your health back by equipping a Shell Bell.
Just be careful after you terastylise as Dialga’s Steel Beam will become super effective, however, under Trick Room in this fight you should be faster which will help out.
Azumarill – Level 100
Nature – Careful
Ability – Huge Power
Item – Shell Bell
Tera type – Fairy
Move set – Light Screen, Misty Terrain, Belly Drum, Play Rough
If you have a partner to play with, adding a supportive Azumarill makes these fights even easier.
The set-up Azumarill can do all the Light Screen and Misty Terrain work for you as well as any heal cheers you need.
Rain Dance can be a good move for the Dialga fight, and Mud-Slap will help against both by lowering the accuracy.
Azumarill – Level 100
Nature – Careful
Ability – Thick Fat
Item – Leftovers
Tera type – Fairy
Move set – Light Screen, Misty Terrain, Mud-Slap, Rain Dance
