Your PlayStation storage can fill up quickly if you're not careful. But fear not! We've got three hacks that can save you lots of space.

Trophy trick

It's a great feeling when you earn a Trophy in a PS5 game. But did you know that every time you earn a Trophy, your PlayStation automatically captures and saves a 15-second video and a screenshot? These clips take up valuable storage space, especially since they're captured in 4K quality. To turn off this feature, just go to Settings > Captures and Broadcasts > Auto-Captures > Trophies and uncheck Save Trophy Videos.

Customize!

Games these days often come in separate chunks. While it may not seem like it when you're playing, large parts of a game can be split off and removed separately. Sony explains, "Your PS5 console monitors how much storage space is used by your games, media content, and saved data. When a game has Customize next to its title, you can select and manage portions of the game data. For example, if there are add-ons you don't use or parts of a game that you've already finished, you can delete the data and still play the rest of the game."

Astro's Playroom

Astro's Playroom is a fantastic game that comes pre-installed on every PS5. It's designed to showcase all the features of the DualSense controller. While you should definitely play it through once, you might want to consider deleting it afterward. The game takes up 10.98GB of storage on your PS5, which could be used for another small video game, some DLC, or even a blockbuster title. Don't worry though, the game is free and can be redownloaded at any time.
