Warning to Need for Speed players – your progress will soon be deleted

NEED for Speed Unbound will soon get an update that will erase users’ data.

The upcoming update will introduce a whole host of changes, which includes changing the way that players progress.

Cosmetics like this will soon be harder to grab.

A new system is being introduced into Need for Speed Unbound called the “Speed Pass”, which will have 75 levels.

As players progress through the system, each level will reward players with a cosmetic.

There is currently a system like this in place, but it tops out at level 99.

The new Speed Pass will only be available for a limited time, meaning that, like a Battle Pass, it will reset with new rewards every so often.

This of course means that if you fail to climb the ladder to the top before the time runs out, then those goodies are gone for good.

And the way that the Speed Pass will inspire this feeling of missing out is by putting a legendary cosmetic at level 50.

The first legendary item is a custom Dodge Viper vanity piece.

This sounds like any other Battle Pass, though there should be a reminder that this is in a full-price game, not something free-to-play like Fortnite.

While there is no explicit way to pay money to race through the Speed Pass, making purchases on the store will increase your level.

Every cosmetic you purchase for real money will increase your Speed Pass by 10 levels, which is likely to encourage people to spend.

Not only does Speed Pass encourage users to purchase items, but the update is going to erase your current progress.

The current ranking system will be removed, and with it, whatever level you reached will be removed with it.

You will receive 5k of the in-game currency for every level, “Just to say thank you for the engagement and sorry, we took away your 99 rank.”
