Beta weekends for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Activision is giving players the opportunity to participate in beta tests for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 before its official release. There are two beta weekends in October, allowing players to enjoy the game before its launch.

If you want to join in on the action, there are two opportunities for you to do so. Here's everything you need to know about the CoD MW3 beta weekends.
When are the MW3 beta weekends?
Players on PlayStation have two weekends to enjoy the MW3 beta, while other platforms only have one. The first beta weekend began on October 6 for those who pre-ordered MW3 on PlayStation. For those who haven't pre-ordered, you can still play on PlayStation until October 10. The beta will then open up to all platforms for the second weekend. If you have pre-ordered it, you can play from October 12. On October 14, the beta will be available to anyone, even if you haven't purchased MW3.
When does the MW3 beta end?
The first beta, exclusive to PlayStation, will end on October 10. The second beta, open to all platforms, including PlayStation, will end on October 16. PlayStation owners can enjoy the MW3 beta for eight days, while players on other platforms have four days to play.
Release date for MW3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will officially launch on November 10. The beta allows players to enjoy multiplayer maps and modes, but the full release will include all game modes.
