When does Minecraft 1.20 come out?

Minecraft 1.20 releases today (July 7, 2023) in all regions.

It should be available in your region now as it has a global release time.

If you are unable to download the latest version, then you may need to wait a little longer for your server to update.

How can I download Minecraft 1.20?

If you play on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch and are connected to the internet, then Minecraft should update automatically.

If this does not occur, then you should check if you have automatic software updates on.

This is also the case for those who play the Bedrock version of Minecraft on PC, but can also update manually via the Microsoft Store.

If you play on Java Edition on PC, then you’ll need to select the “Latest Release” of the launcher from the dropdown menu in the bottom left corner – this is the grass block icon.

Click play and the update will download before the game launches.

Can I download it on my phone?

Yes. The update is available on all platforms that can run Minecraft including mobile.

The process is the same as that on other platforms, but if you want to update it manually you can do this through the App/Play Store.
