THE Masked Dancer star David Seaman has revealed that an Arsenal legend knew he was on the show as soon as he saw Post.

David took part in the hilarious guessing game as part of the first ever duo to grace the stage.

The goalkeeper appeared alongside his wife, Frankie, whom he met after he was a contestant on ITV celebrity skating show Dancing on Ice.

Despite keeping fans guessing for a number of weeks, the pair were unmasked by host Joel Dommett after they sustained an injury in training which meant they could no longer participate in the programme.

But David has revealed there were some very famous faces that knew it was him inside the Post costume straight away.

The former footballing star revealed that Arsenal legend Ian Wright worked out it was him ‘immediately’.

David said: “All of my friends were texting me and I just kept sending the laughing emoji, that could be a yes or it could be no and I was like ‘I’m not calling or speaking to anybody’.

“Wrighty (Ian Wright) was on to me, he was like ‘it’s you, isn’t it’, I just put a smiley face.”

David admitted it was difficult to keep it under wraps from people who were guessing it was him and his ice dancer wife.

The 59 year old further revealed that comedian, presenter and The Masked Singer star Mo Gilligan had worked out he was behind the mask.

The footballing champion said: “It was so funny because afterwards we did Soccer Aid and Mo (Gilligan) was on the Rest of the World team.

“As we were walking around afterwards, he went ‘You’ve done Masked Dancer haven’t you’. I was like ‘Shhh’ you can’t tell anybody.”

The pair exited the popular Saturday night show following Frankie sustaining an ankle injury during rehearsals for an upcoming number on the show.

Speaking exclusively to HOAR about her injury, Frankie said: “The injury was about three and a half months ago that we filmed the show.

“It’s feeling a lot better now, almost back to full strength.”

When asked if she was back on the ice, Frankie said: “It’s looking good, it won’t be far away.”

Host Joel Dommett explained to the panel: “Sadly, Pillar took a tumble during rehearsals, and I am absolutely gutted to tell you that on medical advice they have had to withdraw from the competition.”
