The Geordie hosts wander across a bridge in freezing North Wales as rain hammers down – yet they’re convinced they’re in Australia where the ITV show has always been filmed.

Ant and Dec left fans howling with their latest sketch as they teased the ITV show ahead of the launch next month.

They wrote on Instagram: “Was that a left or right at Llanfairpwllgwllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogch?! Imaceleb coming soon to ITV”

Corrie’s Andy Whyment who came runner-up to Jacqueline Jossa on the show last year, wrote beneath: “Can’t wait to watch it boys!”

While one Welsh fan wrote: “I hope you’ve got some warm jumpers it’s got super cold here. Your luxury item may need to be shears and to shave a sheep to keep warm!”

Stars taking part in the show are likely to face sub-zero temperatures after it was moved from Australia to Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

ITV chiefs have now taken expert medical advice on how the celebs can avoid frostbite and hypothermia in the howling Welsh winter.

As a result, they have bought top-of-the range outdoor clothing, sleeping bags and even scores of insulating foil blankets usually used for marathon runners.

“They’ve taken medical advice on the risks posed by the cold weather and have stocked up on appropriate clothing and bedding.”

This year’s version of I’m A Celebrity promises to be no picnic as the celebs huddle in the ruins of a draughty Gwrych Castle near Abergele, North Wales.

Contestants are set to be battered by strong winds, heavy rain and even snow as they star in the show.

Experts also say 35mph winds are set to whistle through the ramparts of the semi-ruined pile and days of rain and even snow are on the meteorological menu.
