The daughter of talk TV presenter Vanessa Feltz became emotional during a recent episode of the reality dating show Celebs Go Dating. Vanessa, 61, joined the cast following her split from her cheating ex Ben Ofoedu earlier this year.
A Heart-to-Heart with Saskia
Vanessa opened up about her heartbreak and the challenging months she’s been through while speaking with her daughter Saskia Kurer. Saskia, 34, offered words of comfort and hope, saying, “We know that people who have had a broken heart can fix it by finding someone who loves them nicely with compassion—and I hope that you’ll be able to.”
Vanessa reached across the table to comfort her daughter as she fought back tears. She assured Saskia, “Awh don’t cry, don’t cry, I’m going to be alright. I am alright, I’m getting better and better, I am really and also this is a nice intervention for me.”
The Breakup Story
During the show, Vanessa shared her thoughts on her failed relationship with Ben. She explained, “I think I was happy to love him because he was happy to be there. The all the kind of happiness and delight and enthusiasm to be there seemed to kind of evaporate with each year that went by. And also he did sort of trickle down tiny filaments of love.”
When asked by the dating experts how the relationship ultimately came to an end, Vanessa admitted, “Well in truth I can’t really tell you because I don’t really know. There have been so many lies, so many that I have no way of knowing and that’s the truth.”
