HANNAH Spearritt has been eliminated from Dancing On Ice tonight.

The celebrities returned to the rink again for the third instalment of the ITV competition on Sunday – but in a huge shake-up there was no skate off.

Hannah Spearritt was dumped from the competition tonight

The former S Club 7 star praised the show for the ‘journey’

This meant that that the contestants had only one chance to impress the judges and whoever was at the bottom after the judges scores and viewers votes would be leaving the competition

Unfortunately, Hannah and Corrie actress Claire Sweeney were in the bottom two.

But the former S Club 7 star had received the fewest votes and was sent packing in the second week after the skate-off was axed.

Following the results, TV presenter Holly Willoughby told Hannah: “I’m so sorry, I don’t think any of us wanted to let you go at this point.”

Hannah replied: “It’s sad to see anyone go.”

Holly added: “You did such a beautiful performance in front of your girls and family,” to which Hannah said: “It was nice to finish on Elsa.

“Everyone has been fantastic and to be partnered with Andy has been an absolute joy. Thank you for the journey.”

Viewers were gutted to see the contestant given the boot.

One wrote: “So sad to see Hannah go.”

A second posted: “Aww I wish Hannah had stayed for another few weeks, she was doing so well.”

Last Sunday saw Ricky Hatton and Robin Johnstone battle it out for another place in the competition against Lou Sanders and Brendyn Hatfield.

The dance off saw Ricky leave the show.

It comes after fans took to social media slam the judges for “under-marking” comedian Lou Sanders.

Those at home took to social media to complain about the “unfair” scoring after the contestants took to the ice for Movie Week.

Lou was scored a total of 22 out of 40 after all four judges gave her a 5.5 each after her performance to rom-com movie Bridesmaids, with hit Wilson Phillips hit track Hold On.

Following the results, presenter Holly told Lou: “That’s a big improvement in your score from last week, you’ve been working very hard this week,” to which Lou replied: “Inconsistently bad.”

Oti Mabuse justified her score by saying: “I know the scores are low but you have improved from last week – it’s just little things you need to work on, your posture, taking your shoulders back but still leaning forward.

“It’s just little things but you are what the show is about.

“You are about starting not so great but getting better throughout the weeks, so don’t give up, you are brilliant and you can do it.”

But some fans were not happy with the low scores.

While others said contestant Claire Sweeney had been overmarked after scoring a total of 24 points.

One angry fumed: “These scores for Lou are f****** ridiculous. She’s the only of the girlies who’s actually skating solo and they’re giving her dog s*** scores because she doesn’t have a sob story.”

A second posted: “BUT THEY GAVE CLAIRE SWEENEY 6’s WHEN SHE JUST HELD ON TO HER PARTNER THE WHOLE ROUTINE?! Why do the judges keep giving Lou such low scores?”#
