DANCING On Ice bosses have axed huge part of the show this weekend in a shock twist.

The celebrities will return to the rink again for the third instalment of the ITV competition this Sunday – but there will be one segment of the show missing.

There will be no skate off

Last Sunday saw Ricky Hatton and Robin Johnstone battle it out for another place in the competition against Lou Sanders and Brendyn Hatfield.

The dance off saw Ricky leave the show.

Luckily this week the famous faces won’t have to take part in one, according to the MailOnline.

A representative told the publication: “This weekend we don’t have a skate-off at the end of the show.

“Whoever is at the bottom after the judges scores and viewers votes will leave the competition.”

Dancing On Ice viewers were shocked when the first celebrity was voted off over the weekend.

Ricky performed to Elvis Presley’s If I Can Dream, while Lou skated again to Try by Pink.

In the end, the ice panel decided to save Lou and send Ricky and his pro partner Robin Johnstone home.

He said: “I’m gutted to be going home.

“I’ve tried to be a winner all my life in everything I’ve done. It’s been a while since I saw the second round.

“I’ve had a great time, I’ve met some wonderful friends.

“I’d like to thank Robin for all her hard work, the coaches for all their hard work.”

Viewers also slammed the show bosses for ‘favouritism’ after Vanessa Bauer, 25, took to the rink with celebrity Made In Chelsea‘s Miles Nazaire, 28.

They raged that she always gets younger, more able famous faces to skate with.

Others were left gobsmacked when one of the show’s professional skaters suffered a horrifying fall during one of the show’s routines.
