EKIN-SU Cülcüloğlu has claimed that appearing on Dancing on Ice left feeling “overworked” and “exhausted”.
The 29-year-old took part in Dancing on Ice in 2023 – just months after winning Love Island alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti.
Ekin-Su lasted four weeks in the competition and has now claimed the hectic schedule had a negative impact on her relationship with Davide, also 29.
Speaking to Spin Genie, she said: “I was working seven days a week and had no time for me or my relationship. I was overworked and exhausted.
“If I hadn’t had so much on during that time, my experience on the show would have been different. I also wouldn’t have let the bad comments get to me.”
During her time on the ice, some viewers were left outraged by her racy costumes.
But Ekin-Su insists she no longer lets negative comments get to her.
She continued: “I’m stronger now. I was in the habit of Googling myself and I’d let the comments really upset me. Negative comments about my personality or my performance.”
Five months after her Dancing on Ice appearance, HOAR revealed Ekin-Su and Davide had split.
A source at the time said: “They haven’t been getting along for quite some time and they really tried to make it work, but despite their best efforts, they’ve decided to call it quits.”
But it wasn’t long before they were back on, with Davide telling us in October that he and Ekin were always destined to get back together.
He said: “It’s a lovely feeling being with Ekin, we probably broke up more publicly but never privately because we have always been in touch and the love between me and Ekin have always been there.”
Most recently Ekin-Su took part in the US version of The Traitors, with HOAR revealing in September last year she’d signed up for the show.
