I’m A Celebrity viewers had to do a double take after spotting Sam Thompson’s special tribute tattoo. They reached for the rewind button after noticing the forearm inking in a blink and you’ll miss it moment in camp.
Sam is in a relationship with Zara McDermott
The subject of the portrait caused great confusion. Rather than a tribute to girlfriend Zara McDermott, Sam has an inking to honour his best pal Pete Wicks.
One person wrote on X: “Please can someone confirm if this is a tattoo of @P_Wicks01 on @SamThompsonUK arm?” Another said: “I’m sure I saw a tattoo of Pete on Sam’s arm.”
Confirming the matter, another said: “It is and Pete got one of Sam.”
While Sam is proud of his design, Pete is less pleased with his tattoo of his close pal.
He told OK! in 2021: “It was probably one of the worst decisions of my life, I’ll be honest with you. Who on earth would want Sam Thompson tattooed on them? “It’s something we agreed to do ages and ages ago and we mentioned it a few times [on the podcast] so we ended up doing it for our show but I didn’t think we would actually end up getting each other’s faces. “His is on his forearm, he’s over the moon with it! Whereas mine’s on my hip and will probably be getting covered at some point because we didn’t have a lot of room to put it in.”

Pete exclusively told HOAR about their exciting new venture: “Don’t get me wrong Sam annoys me on the regular and I’ve really not missed him calling me 247, but I can’t wait to take our Staying Relevant podcast on tour and see what the hell happens… “I mean it’s us, they’ll be no filter and it’ll be chaotic but we’re hoping that’s why people will enjoy it.”
The pair will be taking their chart-topping podcast on tour to London, Manchester, Cardiff, Newcastle and Glasgow.
Listeners will get the chance to join Sam and Pete in their weekly quest for fame as they continue to explore what it really takes to stay relevant. The audience will even get to hear about Sam’s jungle antics and how he survived three weeks in camp.
