The Unseen Drama
Fred Sirieix, star of First Dates, has opened up about a behind-the-scenes moment on I’m A Celebrity that viewers never got to see. He revealed that he convinced one of his fellow campmates not to leave the jungle, following in the footsteps of Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent.
A Heartfelt Conversation
Speaking after his own surprise exit from the show, Fred explained how he talked Josie Gibson out of leaving. He reminded her that her son is only five years old and that feeling guilty was unnecessary. Fred offered support and encouraged her to get the guilt out of her head.
Unaired Moments
Although Josie’s near exit was never shown on TV, viewers did see her express homesickness for her son Reggie. She broke down in tears while talking about him and admitted feeling guilty for being away for so long. Fellow campmate Danielle Harold offered comfort and reassurance, reminding Josie that she is a strong mother.
Preparing for Time Apart
Prior to going on the show, Josie had prepared Reggie for her absence by recording videos for him and explaining the situation. The plan was for Reggie to stay with Josie’s family before joining her in Australia later on in the series.
