I’M A Celebrity fans were left chuckling tonight after two massive blunders forced Ant and Dec into redoing their intro.
The Geordie duo burst through the doors of Gwrych Castle in Wales to welcome viewers to the show when Dec’s jacket buttons suddenly burst open.
Dec said: “Hello, good evening, ooh I’ve just popped open my buttons!”
A split-second later, Ant crashed into a tall candleabra and brushed his arm against a naked flame.
Thankfully, his jacket did not catch alight but he exclaimed: “Oh no! I’ve hit a candle!”
Dec quickly asked the I’m A Celeb crew: “Can we start again? Can we start again?”
Ant, meanwhile, frantically asked: “We’re not live are we? We’re not live?!”
Posting several ‘crying with laughter’ emojis, one fan mused: “What a great entrance dec pops a button and ant nearly caught fire! #ImACeleb.”
Another tweeted: “Can’t stop laughing at that start to #ImACeleb Dec’s flashing and Ant’s on fire!”
A third joked: “Best entrance ever #ImACeleb @antanddec Almost nip slip and a sizzled Ant!”
Following their haphazard start, Ant and Dec decided to completely restart their intro, so disappeared back behind the castle door.
“Pretend it didn’t happen!” Ant cried. His best pal added: “Take two!
The crew could be heard laughing hysterically as the presenters walked back through the door and welcomed viewers to the ITV1 show for a second time.
Ant grabbed Dec’s arm and told him: “Smooth, smooth…” Dec hurriedly replied: “No one noticed, no one noticed..”
The pair then managed to calm themselves down and successfully cracked on with the job in hand, thanking fans for repeatedly voting Naughty Boy for Bushtucker Trials.
“At the beginning of this series, Naughty Boy constantly said he wanted to leave the camp,” Dec said.
Continuing, Ant added: “And, guys, you listened. Thanks to you, he’s got to leave that camp every single day!”
