I’M A Celebrity fans were itching to see Babatúndé Aléshé take on another trial after he bungled last night’s challenge.

However, Ant and Dec announced that he was ruled out of the Boiling Point challenge leaving many disappointed.

Babatúndé Aléshé has been ruled out of tonight’s Bushtucker Trial

Many fans reckon they know why he couldn’t take part – suggesting the comedian is unable to swim or can’t go in the water.

Several pointed out that Babatúndé was also ruled out of the underwater Tentacles of Terror task that ended up being done by Matt Hancock.

One I’m A Celeb fan tweeted last night: “Baba not being able to swim makes him exempt.”

Another wrote: “Why are they exempt? I’m assuming Baba can’t swim maybe as it’s in water.”

A third posted: “Wait do people really think Baba being exempt is a “fix”? He was exempt from tentacles of terror (water based) and he’s now exempt from another trial with a water aspect.

“Clearly he either can’t swim or isn’t a confident swimmer???”

Several were frustrated they couldn’t see the star doing another trial tonight, with one writing: “DAMMIT I wanted to vote Baba!!! .”

The Londoner, 36, was left fuming in last night’s episode when his bungling meant the camp only won three stars for camp.

He was teamed up with Boy George and Chris Moyles on the Angel of Agony trial.

But his repeated dropping of the stars meant they weren’t able to bag many meals for camp – being left with crocodile feet for tea.

Ant and Dec poked fun at him as they announced he wouldn’t be eligible for the next trial saying: “He’s been dropped!”

In the end I’m A Celeb viewers chose Chris Moyles to take on the challenge, with ITV releasing a sneak-peek clip of him tackling Boiling Point this morning.

Babatúndé has not spoken about why he can’t do the trial tonight, though he has often spoken about his other fears.

Viewers saw him become the first and only person to say “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” this year in the show’s first challenge, Walk The Plank.

I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV1 tonight at 9pm
