The couple got engaged in South Africa, after they both filmed Winter Love Island there, which she hosts and he narrates.

A friend told HOAR at the time: “They couldn’t be happier. We’re thrilled for them.

“He’d obviously thought about it for a while, as he designed the ring and yellow’s her favourite colour.

“Their wedding plans are on hold due to the lockdown but it’s lovely to have a wedding to come.”

Laura and Iain have been in a couple since 2016, before moving in together two years later.

“When we first met he didn’t even hit on me, he was too nervous to hit on me! I think he was intimidated by me – I remember Iain was too scared to ask me out so in the end I had to ask him out,” she told  JD’s In The Duffle Bag podcast.

“He used to send me random messages, DM me and ask me about my dog.

“It took nine months but we got there! I was like ‘let’s just go for a drink’. I think I had to make the moves on him.”

The couple kept their fans entertained during lockdown with their cute videos.

But Laura admitted that lockdown put their relationship to the test.

The TV star told Cosmopolitan: “It’s just Iain, me and the dog in the house right now, and [Iain] is loving it because he gets to eat pasta and play computer games.

“He’s living his student life. I thought we would drive each other crazy. It’s really helping me think, ‘Actually, this is a good relationship!’

“We like each other. We don’t spend a lot of time together normally.”
