Montel McKenzie has responded to accusations made by his Love Island ex, Leah Taylor, about him cheating on her at a celebrity party. The former couple ended their relationship just two weeks after leaving the Love Island villa, and Leah, 27, had suggested that Montel, 25, had been unfaithful. However, Montel has now come forward to share his side of the story.

Snogging scandal at Casa Amor

During their time in the Love Island villa, Montel and Leah became a couple. However, their romance came to an end soon after they left the show. Montel admitted to kissing bombshell Tink Reading during the Casa Amor twist, but Leah forgave him and they got back together.

The real reason for the split

In a statement to his fans, Montel denied cheating on Leah: "I can confirm I've never cheated on her. I would never do that, if you hear the way I speak about her you would know that. We were at an event, all the Islanders were there – previous Islanders from other years and Islanders from my season – Leah was in Manchester at the time."

According to Montel, Leah was upset with him for posing for pictures with other girls at the event: "Leah wasn't happy with the posing in the pictures, where people were posing. She said it made her feel a type of way and made her feel stupid." Montel emphasized that he did not sleep with anyone or engage in any inappropriate communication.

Leah's perspective

When asked why she and Montel split, Leah previously stated: "I forgave once in the villa and was ready to move on from it, but I don't forgive twice."

Making a choice after Casa Amor

After the Casa Amor twist, Montel decided not to bring Tink back to the main villa and chose to return to Leah. Despite admitting to kissing Tink, fans speculated that Montel and Tink had more than just a kiss and had engaged in secret sexual activities.
