Footballer Turned Reality Star

Scott Van Der Sluis, former footballer and Love Island star, has made a surprising decision to return to his "normal job" just weeks after his appearance on the hit dating show. Prior to his stint as a reality star, the 22-year-old played as a goalkeeper for the League of Ireland Premier Division side Shelbourne.

From Mallorca to USA

Scott Van Der Sluis made his way from the Love Island UK villa to the US version of the show, right after being eliminated from the Mallorca villa. However, he is now back in the UK and ready to return to his semi-professional football career.

No Regrets

In a recent podcast interview, Scott revealed that while he wasn't heavily involved in football at the time of entering the Love Island villa, he plans to return to the sport. However, he expressed his excitement for the opportunities that have come his way and his desire to experience new things. He emphasized that he's young and doesn't want to have any regrets in the future.

Joking Manager

Scott's decision to choose Love Island over football surprised his former manager, Damien Duff, who jokingly expressed his disappointment. "I was shocked and saddened that Scott chose a villa in Mallorca full of beautiful single women over myself, the staff, and the players," Duff remarked.

End of Love Island Romance

Although Scott left the Love Island UK villa as a single man, he had a brief romance with fellow contestant Abi Moores. However, the couple decided to end their relationship on the show.

Returning to the Pitch

Despite his taste of fame on Love Island, Scott is determined to return to his passion for semi-professional football.
