ASDA has issued a warning to its customers, reminding them to claim their £20 vouchers before the end of the year or risk losing out forever. The retail chain has given shoppers just over two weeks to convert their Asda Rewards Christmas Saver Cashpot into vouchers before they expire.
Reward programme allows shoppers to reduce grocery bill
The Asda Rewards programme, which launched in August, offered consumers a bonus for saving their Asda Rewards pounds to spend during the festive period. With the holidays fast approaching, savvy shoppers can now use those points to reduce their grocery bill ahead of the big Christmas feast. The vouchers can be redeemed in-store or online until Sunday, December 31.
Over 1.2 million customers have already claimed their vouchers
According to Asda, more than 1.2 million customers have already created vouchers before the deadline. To create a voucher, customers must go to the wallet section of the Asda Rewards app and select "Create Voucher," then confirm the amount they'd like to spend from their Christmas Saver Cashpot. Throughout the year, customers have been earning bonus payments for saving Asda Rewards pounds, with over £4 million earned by 1.7 million customers.
Additional savings and coupons available
Asda has also launched various seasonal giveaways and coupons to help customers save money. Since its launch, more than seven million shoppers have used the Asda Rewards app and earned over £300 million in their Cashpots. Asda is now encouraging customers who have not already done so to sign up for a Rewards account before December 25 and receive a £5 off coupon for their first shop. They then have until the end of the year to complete their second shop and receive an additional £5 in their Cashpot.
