A BARGAIN supermarket is launching a huge closing down sale with 50% off everything.

The Farmfoods store in West Bromwich is set to shut its doors on Sunday (May 14).

Shoppers will get the chance to snap up bargains on the shop’s last day, with half off on all stock.

Windows have been spotted showing sale signs explaining the big discounts.

The bargain supermarket chain, famous for its frozen food, has around 300 shops across Great Britain.

It often has some cheap offers on popular products which shopper regularly rush to pick up including makeup and air fryers too.

News of the closing down sale has been shared across social media with many itching to get their hands on some bargains.

In the past savvy shoppers have picked up whole food hauls from the chain after swapping from Aldi, making huge savings.

Plus, an eagle-eyed customer was stunned to spot Bondi Sands fake tan on shelves for just 99p.

The area’s BID (Business Improvement District) team posted on Facebook: “Farmfoods High Street West Bromwich is closing which will be very sad for our town.

“We wish all the staff best of luck.

“On Sunday, May 14 everything in the West Bromwich store will be 50% off.”

The post was met with dozens of comments from shoppers making plans to head over on Sunday to take advantage of the savings.

It’s not all bad news though because the area, in the West Midlands, is getting a brand new store the following week.

The new shop will be located in the Birchley Island Retail Park Oldbury and is set to open its doors on May 20.

HOAR has approached Farmfoods for comment and will update this story when we hear back.

Sunday’s closure comes after Farmfoods shut half a dozen stores in recent months.

Its Cowgate store in Dundee shut in March, with another Glasgow shop closing the month before.

The frozen food specialist pulled down the shutters at its Baillieston branch at the end of February.

Similarly to the West Bromwich closure, the store hosted a 50% off sale which saw shoppers queuing up outside to pick up discounted items.

Another store in Grangemouth shut up shop back in January, with two others in Ayrshire and Renfrewshire closing in October 2022.

Farmfoods isn’t the only shop chain holding huge closing down sales recently.

Before the B&M in Bishop Auckland closed, it too held a big 50% off sale with customers calling it “absolutely unreal”.

Plus, shoppers have been snapping up bargains in Cath Kidston’s 50% closing down sale ahead of all shops shutting for good.

And, before all M&Co stores closed for good last month, it too held a massive 80% off sale in some branches.

Meanwhile, here are five items to look out for at your nearest branch and those you could leave on the shelf.
