Costa Coffee Confirms Closure of Erdington Branch
A major coffee chain with 2,000 stores is set to shut down another branch following a string of closures. The coffee giant's representative has confirmed the news, announcing that the shop's door will close in March instead. Costa Coffee spokesperson said the talented team will be re-deployed to nearby Costa Coffee's in the local area.

The closure of the Erdington branch has been devastating news for the local music and art lovers. A jazz live band, "Rhythm and Bone," has been performing on the grounds of the Costa branch for ten years. The group has announced on Facebook that their free lunchtime concerts are coming to an end as they struggle to find a new venue. The band member wrote that they don't get paid for these gigs, but see them as enhancing the culture of Erdington.
Two More Branches Set to Close
Costa Coffee has also geared up to close two more branches in just a few days. The store on Chiswick High Road will shut down by February 6, 2024, while the branch on Bruntsfield Place in Edinburgh will serve its last latte on February 14. Costa Coffee has already shut the doors to dozens of its sites in recent months. The company says it regularly reviews its store estate to ensure it's right for its communities and teams.
High Street Closures Continue
