Fans left devastated as popular football club shop announces closure

Fans of a former Premier League club are expressing their disappointment as the club's shop launches a closing down sale. The store, located in the Potteries Shopping Centre, will permanently close its doors on March 6.

Huge discounts on offer

The closing down sale includes a wide range of items, with many priced at less than £5. Stoke City, the ex-Premier League club, cited "commercial reasons" for the closure of the store. This closure follows the departure of other well-known brands from the shopping center in recent years, including Poundland, Superdry, and Debenhams.

Club shop at the stadium to remain open

Although the city center store is closing, Stoke City fans can still purchase merchandise from the club shop at the bet365 Stadium or through the team's online store. Simon King, the club's chief operating officer, explained that the majority of retail trade already takes place at the stadium and online, making it more commercially viable to focus on these outlets.

Former Premier League star leaves Stoke City

Dwight Gayle, a former Premier League player, recently terminated his contract with Stoke City, leaving him without a club. This news comes as the club appointed Steven Schumacher, the former Plymouth Argyle boss, as their new manager.
